Freedom to Marry

While religions may make decisions on who may marry whom within their church; the State
is prohibited both from interfering with religious choices and discriminating in its distribution
of marriage licenses. Just as they cannot force the Catholic Church to permit same-gender
marriage, they cannot prohibit the Unitarian Church from performing such marriages.
