Part II: Additional Policy Issue Questions
1. What are your priority issues? How will you address those issues once elected?
I am running as “The Freedom Candidate”. I am the only candidate in my race to support equal rights for all people, regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, sexual identity, color of skin, nationality, or any other factor used to sub-divide the people of this world. All people are created equal. Period.
Once elected, I intend to fix Massachusetts law that is discriminatory and unbalanced.
2. What are your thoughts for addressing the following critical issues?
a) Domestic violence and violence against women
b) The prevention of sexual harassment in the workplace
This country has become obsessed with legislating morality and criminalizing consensual behavior between consenting adults. I would put and end to these intrusive laws. This will free up the police, court system, and the jails, so that we can focus on the important issues that we face, such as any and all violent crime including the issue of domestic violence, and violence against women.
Sexual harassment is behavior that crosses a line, has a specific definition, and has been criminalized. We need to take our responsibilities seriously and allow charges to be investigated without a witch-hunt occurring. This can be done more effectively and at less cost to the taxpayer, by cleaning out the bad laws that are on the books.
3. How have you demonstrated your support for reproductive choice, and how would you do so as an elected official?
I pledge that I will vote for individual freedom every time, every issue. This includes the choice to make your own reproductive decisions. No exceptions, no excuses.
4. What proposals would you support/have you supported to increase the availability of affordable childcare?
I would attempt to limit governmental intrusion into the childcare facilities. This will allow the childcare providers to provide a better service at a lower cost, and permit more people to enter into the business of childcare, thereby providing more competition and giving people more options.
5. What committee assignments would you request and why?
The Committee of Public Safety. That way I would be able to keep a closer eye and help guide more bills that affect the voters directly.
Part III: Other
information about you
Please attach your one page campaign biography and a sample of your campaign brochure or palm card (if ready).
A campaign brochure is not available at this time. But if I am endorsed by MWPC, I will prominently place that endorsement on both my website and all campaign materials. I would be honored to receive it.
I entered Massachusetts politics in 1998, when I was working on the Dean Cook for Governor campaign. Since then, I have been working for equal rights in the sexual minority community. In 2000 I formed a new organization, the Pink Pistols, that has since grown to a national organization that now has 43 chapters in a majority of states in the US.
